Can I apply even though I have not received my bachelor certificate yet?
Yes, please send a transcript of records with all the marks you have received so far.
My bachelor programme was taught in English. Do I have to take an English test?
No, in this case we just need proof that you completed your undergraduate studies in English.
I studied a subject that is unrelated to molecular medicine. Can I apply?
Yes, please do apply! However, you should have covered at least some of the following subjects: biomedical science, molecular biotechnology, molecular biology, molecular life science, human biology, biochemistry. The selection committee will check what degree programme you studied and decide whether you are eligible for the master programme.
What questions will be asked in the test and the interview?
The test will check your knowledge of relevant molecular medicine topics. These may include virology, human genetics, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.
The interview will mainly focus on your motivation for studying the master programme.
When and where will the selection process take place?
The selection process in 2019 (written test and interviews) will take place from July 1st to July 3rd at Ulm University (details to be announced in the invitation letter). Applicants will be invited by email as soon as all applications are processed.
How much does the programme cost?
Currently there are administrative fees of 166,50€. Non EU citizens have to pay tuition fees of 1500,-€ per semester. For a second study program you have to pay 650,-€ per semester.
Are any scholarships offered for the programme?
The program does not offer any scholarships. However, there are many scholarships offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and similar institutions.
Can I do my PhD afterwards?
